AI coaching

What is AI coaching?

The coach in Peak Days is written by an AI. The morning line on Today, the comment after a run and the answers in the Coach chat all come from an outside AI service that we use to write the coaching. It only works after you say yes in the app.

What is shared?

After you say yes, and only to write your coaching, the app sends the AI what it needs to know about your training and your health:

The coach does not get your email address, your password, your home address or the maps of your runs.

Who receives it?

An outside AI service that writes the coaching for us, under a data processing agreement. Our privacy policy names it: https://peak-days.com/privacy. Peak Days’ own servers send it your data over a secure connection whenever the coach writes something for you. It acts for us as a processor and gets your data only to write your coaching. The company behind it is based in the United States, so what we send it can be processed outside the European Union. Our own database stays in the EU.

Is it sold or used for ads?

No. It is never sold and never used for advertising. For the details of how that service handles your data, including whether it is used to train AI models and how long it keeps it, see our privacy policy: https://peak-days.com/privacy.

How do I say no, or turn it off later?

Nothing is sent until you say yes. You can simply not agree: in setup, tap Continue, and on the Coach tab, leave the card as it is. The rest of the app works fully without it.

To turn it off later, open Settings (the gear at the top right of Today), tap AI coaching under Your setup, then tap Stop AI coaching. Nothing about you is sent after that, and the daily line and the chat go back to the app’s own words. It is saved on your account, so it holds on every phone you use. You can turn it back on from the Coach tab.
